The Job:
- Reports to the Manager, Audit.
- Performs preliminary review, including internal control evaluation;
- Completes portions of the audit programme and identifies key issues which may have arisen either through external changes, internal changes or new legislation.
- Performs audit assignments which involve research and analysis of company policies and procedures;
- Evaluates audit related documentation as basis for objective opinion on the effectiveness and efficiency of operations and the adequacy of internal controls.
- Prepares and organizes work papers that adequately support audit conclusions and recommendations, and which adhere to prescribed internal auditing standards.
- Maintains knowledge of current accounting and auditing practices through continuing professional education.
 
Qualification:
- B.Sc/HND in Accounting or related field.
- Professional certification in Accounting or Internal Auditing will be an advantage.
 
The Person:
- Good coordination and organisational skills with an eye for details;
- Must be honest and firm with excellent oral and written communications skills.
- Good interpersonal and analytical skills with an aptitude for accelerated learning
 
Experience: 
- Minimum of 2 years work experience.

The Job:
Reports to the Group Head Internal Audit.
 
- Designs Audit programmes in line with the annual Audit plan and supervises all audits from inception to completion.
- Reviews all Audit reports and ensures compliance with Institute of Internal Audit (IIA) standards and the Company Group Internal Audit guidelines.
- Co-ordinates risk assessment sessions and compiles regular board committees’ reports.
- Develops and updates the Audit universe and ensures that professional standards are adhered to. 
 
Qualification:
- B.Sc/HND in Accounting or related field.
- Applicant must possess relevant professional qualifications in Accounting or Internal Auditing. Practical IT Audit experience is essential.
- Excellent knowledge of internal control concepts, auditing techniques and reporting are mandatory.
 
The Person:
- Must possess high level of confidentiality and integrity; excellent oral and written communication skills; organized with good analytical, planning and evaluation skills.
- Ideal candidate should have a strategic focus possessing knowledge of identification of system breach indicators. 
 
Experience:
- Minimum of 10 years cognate experience with 3 years at managerial level.

JOB TITLE: ACCOUNTANT
 
THE ROLE
The successful candidate will report to the Chief Accountant in our Head Office and will be responsible for preparing timely and quality accounting reports, back up accounting figures with relevant schedules and also manage a small team of subordinates in order to achieve departmental goals.
 
REQUIREMENTS
The ideal candidate should have (or meet ) the following:
  • Minimum of B.SC degree, second class honours (lower division) in Accounting or related courses
  • At least 3 years experience in a large manufacturing organization
  • Professional qualification (ACCA or ACA) is a major advantage
  • Ability to use Advanced Excel Package, MS Word and PowerPoint will be an advantage
  • Evidence of having participated in the NYSC Scheme or Exemption
  • Not more than 40 years as at 1st January, 2011
  • Resilience and ability to work under pressure
  • Willingness to work in any of the locations in Nigeria where we have operations

International Fertilizer Development Company(IFDC) Recruits Field Accountant

International Fertilizer Development Center (IFDC) is a public international organization addressing critical issues such as international food security, the alleviation of global hunger and poverty, environmental protection and the promotion of economic development and self-sufficiency. IFDC is seeking to contract full-time Field Accountant. 
 
Job Title: Field Accountant
Level: National 
  
Specific duties include but are not limited to: 
• Supervise at least 2 Satellite Offices accounting and review the accounting vouchers and reports for these Satellite Offices on a daily basis. 
• Assist the Accountant in recording accounting entries in Abuja Office. 
• Serve as a liaison between the National Administration and Finance Officer (NAFO) in Abuja and the satellite offices on accounting and Administration issues. 
• Conduct internal financial review of the satellite offices on a regular basis in consultation with the Accountant and NAFO. 
• Prepare internal review reports for each visit to the Satellite offices and report to the Accountant and NAFO 
• Assist in the completion of monthly financial reports (bank reconciliation, cash advance. cash flow statement) 
 
Requirements: 
• Bachelors degree or equivalent in accounting 
• At least 3 years of experience with donors projects 
• Computer Literate with proficiency in MS Excel and Word Ability to handle multiple projects accounts 
• Proven ability to work independently and to take initiative Fluent in English 
• Excellent skills to work in a multi-cultural and multi-disciplinary environment. 
 
The location for above position is Abuja and the duration is 1 year subject to renewal. The candidate will report to the National Accountant. IFOC offers a very competitive salary and benefit package and will pay commensurate with the skills and experience of the selected candidate.

External Financial Reporting Accountant at InfoOil

Essential Job Responsibilities:
Assists in the preparation of the required notes and reports for the company’s external financial statements. Prepares work schedules and other work papers in support of the company’s corporate and other generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) financial statements. Prepares reports for the external management reporting process, including financial and operational analysis. Prepares the debt compliance monitoring and reporting. Assist with the coordination of the annual financial statement audits, and financial reporting to banks and limited partners. Completes special projects related to financial reporting, as assigned. Maintains employee confidence and corporate assets, including intellectual property, by keeping information confidential. Maintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional associations. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results, as needed.
 
Qualifications:
Two (2) years experience in public accounting with oil and gas clients or Three (3)+ years financial reporting experience in the oil and gas industry. Ability to identify and analyze accounting and financial reporting questions and develop solutions responsive to those questions. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, supervisors, other departments, officials, and the public. Ability to complete multiple, diverse tasks of differing priorities with some supervision. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with specific ability to translate complex financial information into an organized and presentable manner. Outstanding administrative and organizational skills. Proficiency in the use and application of the following software: Required: Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
Preferred: Strong working knowledge of Enertia oil and gas software.
 
Education Requirements:
Bachelor’s or Master's Degree from an accredited four-year university or college with a concentration in accounting.
 
Certifications, Licenses, Registrations:
Required: Certified Public Accountant (CPA), or working toward a CPA license
