A Transparency and Accountability Agency of the Federal of Nigeria in a bid to strengthen her procurement functions requires the services of highly motivated procurement professional to fill the position below

Position: Procurement Team Leader.

The Procurement Team Leader will be required to:
Provide  strategic leadership to  the  procurement function  of the organization;
Provide overall guidance for strengthening the procurement unit and functions within the organization.
Develop procurement plan to ensure implementation of the organization’s work plan and strategies;
Implement the procurement activities under the procurement plan in accordance with the Public Procurement Act and other standard procurement procedures;
Build the procurement capacity within the organization through on-the-job as well as through formal training;
Provide qualitative support services to the organization’s operations through effective implementation of business policies and procedures governing procurement management & control.
Ensure effective and optimal utilization and allocation of resources of the organization.

  • Candidates should also posses at least 10 (ten) years relevant experience in similar assignment out of which at least five (5) years must be hands-on experience in directly handling/managing procurement activities.

The – WOFAN is a Non Governmental Organization based in Kano state Nigeria ( www.wofan-ng.org ). Activities of WOFAN include capacity building of rural communities on Improved livelihood, Agricultural, Economic Empowerment, as well as Community Development Activities in some targeted states in Nigeria.
WOFAN is currently partnering with USAID- Nigeria in supporting activities targeted towards provision of access to safe drinking water and improved sanitation to reach out to rural schools, clinics and communities in Sokoto and Bauchi states.
Dueto Expansion of its activities to the 2 states, WOFAN is seeking qualified candidates to  fill the positions below:
Position:
The software component of Water projects ( training of community, school and clinic development structures, training in community led total sanitation(CLTS) as well as formation and strengthening of Environmental health clubs and WESCOM members in Bauchi and Sokoto states
Qualification:
  • Qualified Candidates with at least /Bsc degrees and minimum of 3 years experience in , . , Community Development studies OR related studies , to serve as SUPERVISORS for the ongoing projects in Bauchi and Sokoto state
Position:
The hardware component ( drilling of hand pump boreholes as well as construction of Ventilated Improved Toilet (VIP) latrines in schools, clinics and communities in Bauchi and Sokoto states
