The is a strategic intervention initiative of the Rivers State Government of Nigeria set up by law. It is currently implementing the Workmanship Technical Training Centre (WTTC) located at Bori, Rivers State in Nigeria, and another initiative of the Rivers State Government. WTTC is a world-class technical and vocational training centre pursuing accreditation from London City and Guilds and NABTEC Nigeria. It is designed to produce high quality intermediate/medium level technical manpower in different skill field. The centre therefore requires the services of experienced and qualified manpower in core areas

Position:     Computer Network Analyst  Reference Indicator: CNA/WTTC

Job Objective(s)
To provide front-line system administration support to all staff/employees to defined Operational Standards.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Configures and install devices switches, hubs, tape backup units, network printers and other infrastructure related equipment, services, utilities and applications. This includes identification of system applications, version and other related details for procurement of devices and software needed.

Job Requirements

Experience:
  • 5 years post graduation experience in a network/planning administration-out of which 3 years hands on working knowledge of computer equipment/devices, server networking support, administration, client and server operating system, foundational internet working  concepts and hardware installation/configuration and trouble shooting.



Position:     Civil Instructor    Reference Indicator: CI/WTTC

Job Objective(s)
  • To teach/train trainees in Civil related qualifications such as blocklaying, concreting painting and woodwork in safe working, to acquiring the City & Guilds IVQ Level 3 Curriculum.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Develops and delivers quality civil related qualifications such as blocklaying, concreting, painting, and woodwork with the objective of progressing the trainee to the desired level of competence as set out in the UK City & Guilds International Vocational Qualification Scheme.

Job Requirements
  • Education. HND/B.Sc in Civil Engineering and Building Technology.

Experience:
  • 5 years post-graduation experience in teaching -out of which 3 years hands on working knowledge of wood & concrete equipment/devices, lathe turning work, concreting, surveying, estimating, building construction and painting.



Position:     Civil Technician            Reference Indicator: CT/WTTC

Job Objective(s)
  • To assist the Civil instructor in safe working practices, to acquiring a Technical certificate and or City & Guilds international Vocational Qualification up to a Level 3 Curriculum.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Assist Civil Instructor with objective of progressing the Trainee to the desired level of competence as set out in the UK International Vocational Qualification Scheme

Job Requirements:
  • Education: Minimum of in Civil Engineering and Building Technology

Experience:
  • 5 years post-graduation experience in teaching -out of which 3 years hands on working knowledge of wood & concrete equipment/devices, lathe turning work, concreting, surveying, estimating, building construction and painting.
