Doing Career Search Online

With modern technology, you don’t need to spend hours searching for individual job boards, career sites, job aggregators, local newspapers and corporate site. This information is now consolidated in one package. The Job Hornet is a website where applicants, companies and recruiters meet. You can search jobs by location and by industry. They have categorized various industries so that you will find it easy to choose the one that will suit your capability. So, if you want to see job posts related to education, they will give job posts related to that from thousands of career sites and from a specified location or county.

In your job search, a comprehensive resume just like your page profile in your LinkedIn is very important. You must ensure that it is search friendly for potential employers and recruiters. When writing a resume it is very important to choose a basic font and format, and also include all the information like your full name, address, home or cell phone numbers and e-mail address. Your resume should include the same keywords that appear in the job descriptions. This will increase your chances of being selected for an interview. You should also prioritize your resume content and you must write a custom resume. It may take some time but it’s all worth the effort. If you include an objective, it is important that you tailor your resume objective to match the job you’re applying for.

LinkedIn is the social network for professionals who are into career search. While you don’t need to pay a professional photographer, it’s important to upload a picture to your LinkedIn profile. You must make a professional headline that will sum up or brand you up in a shortened version. This will give a clear message of what you’re about professionally. You must update your status regularly. This will show that you’re actively engaged with your LinkedIn page and the people who visit it. LinkedIn allows you to list three websites on your profile. Most people opt to add their company sites or blog if they have one. Like any social network or web service of its kind, LinkedIn will create an address for your profile page. Ideally, you may want to have your name at the end of the URL. You’re URL must be cleaner and recognizable. The “summary” section is the meat of your LinkedIn profile. This matters a great deal for both human interaction and for LinkedIn powerful search engine. If the keywords in your summary are relevant, this might return you in higher search results when people query terms in your field of work. You should also get recommendations either from your boss, your subordinates or your clients so that those who browse your profile will have an idea on the kind of person you are.

For all the employment listings, you can visit www.jobhornet.com because they can help you find work in various companies from different countries that they are affiliated to. You can select from different categories and look for one that will suit your capabilities. Job Hornet aims to help you find jobs with their newly-listed jobs that had been posted from thousand of sites so that you don’t have to browse each one of them for that one elusive job.
