Mission
The supports the Industry, Energy and Healthcare Sectors of
in all commercial transactions, takes care of all corporate and litigation matters and reports to the General Counsel Nigeria.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Providing legal support for commercial transactions in the Industry, Energy and Healthcare Sector, including contract drafting and reviews, participation to negotiations and securing necessary internal legal approvals.
  • Ensuring compliance with the statutory regulations, applicable legislations. agreements and legal issues affecting the company’s operations in Nigeria.
  • Advising on all Corporate and HR matters.
  • Participating in the implementation of legal department’s strategic training and development initiatives and be actively involved in business unit planning and operations.
  • Liaising and maintaining contacts with external counsels and advisors
  • Close cooperation with local compliance officers on all legal issues.
  • Supporting efficient cross-border legal advice.
  • Anticipating and mitigating legal risks.
Requirements:
  • A good first degree in Law from a reputable university with at least Second Class Upper Division Honours in Law.
  • 2 – 5 years post-call experience at a major law Firm or in the Legal Department of a large industrial company (with at least 1 year experience in litigation/ claims management).
  • Strong communication and decision making skills; highly motivated team player; analytical, professional, proactive; inter-cultural skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and with minimal supervision.
  • A good command of written and spoken English.
  • Proficiency in the use of computer application packages (particularly Microsoft
  • Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
  • Membership of the Nigerian Bar Association is essential.

Position:

Functional Area: Key Tasks;
The duties of the Receptionist/ will include, but is not limited to the following:
  • Performing reception duties in and efficient, professional and courteous manner; Maintaining regular consistent and professional attendance, punctuality, personal appearance, and adherence to relevant health & safety procedures.
  • Answering a high volume of calls and maintain a rapid response rate according to agreed standards;
  • Logging information on calls received, where required and maintaining detailed and accurate records;
  • Filing data and performing other routine clerical tasks as assigned ;
  • Ordering and maintaining relevant office supplies for effectiveness of the training centre and personal duties;
  • Operating a variety of standard office machines, including a personal computer and a variety of computer software, phone, fax, calculator, shredding machine and photocopy machine;
  • Communicating and liaise verbally and in writing between customers/ suppliers/visitors/ enquirers and relevant staff, and interpret and respond clearly and effectively to spoken requests over the phone or in person, and to verbal or written instructions;


Key knowledge:
  • Candidates must be able to operate standard office equipment, including but not limited to, computers, telephone systems, typewriters, calculators, copiers and facsimile machines.
  • Candidates must be able to speak and write French language.
